Yes most of us are seeing the importance of SATURATED TEMPERATURE 👍👍👍 but we are only 1/2 way there, saturated temperature does not tell us how much refregerant is in the evaporator. It only tells us the boiling temperature. we need to measure the actual suction line temperature then subtract the suction saturated temperature to see how much superheated vapor we have. if we have too much superheated vapor, we have poor cooling and we overheat the compressor. if we have too little superheated vapor we flood the evaporator and get liquid floodback to the compressor that will shorten its life expectance. we need to maintain a constant superheat in the evaporator for all conditions. That is the job of the TXV. Even though the TXV cannot control suction pressure, it can control superheat. it will maintain a steady superheat if you feed it the right amount of subcooled liquid. a fixed orifice cannot control superheat or pressures it's subject to temperature, humidity and outdoor temperature. #hvac #hvactechnician #hvactech #love2hvac #superheat #txv #airconditioning
