Coconut oil is probably why your scalp is dry & why your hair won't hold a curl. Try clarifying it a few times & using a leave in spray with heat protector instead.

Just because you stopped using coconut oil for a few days, it doesn’t remove the buildup of oil that’s weighing your hair down. Try to clarify shampoo.🫶🏻

Gurl trust blow dry the roots until 💯 straight and the ends just dry them until not wet and then curl that is what I do for my hair so the curls stick
