How can we make our digital footprint dirtier. I’ve heard people do that. They make their digital footprint unusable right?

What I keep telling people, unless you own an ISP or build your own p2p infrastructure, you have no real privacy, EVER.

Couple of things. 1. Google voice requires identity verification now. No more anonymous signups. 2. DNS sinkholes don’t stop devices phoning home if they are using IPs

Just dropping in to note that Sia is a privacy-first, decentralized cloud. If self-hosting is too expensive/technical, it’s a good option. We need to be making different choices when we can. Love your content!

I fight against them by making my data useless. Be obstinant, people. Ignore and push away ads, don't buy random crap you've seen on ads, and don't ever put any private data etc. onto devices. Get a book/USB.

Man, I really wish I knew this stuff a few years ago
If I'd known sooner, I would've set up a homelab straight away so I could tweak everything just how I like it and keep my privacy locked down
Fast forward to now, Im over 3 months in running multiple services on my own setup and finally ditching paid streaming, hosting, and cloud subscriptions.
Honestly so stoked to have my own selfhosted infra at home

I use SimpleLogin email aliases and use a separate one for every single account. I don’t use any custom domains either. I just use the SimpleLogin ones to blend in with all the other users.

Make it all offline then hand transfer it using a USB? Set up your computer, take everything that you need from it. Books films music etc. then put it one a ha drive or USB, plop that into your offline server and tada. Go back to your pc, factory reset it and just use it like normal. (Could also do the same on a burner phone) (please inform me on how to improve this! )
