📩 Send this to a friend who loves gardening! 💚 🌿 SYNGONIUM PROPAGATION METHOD MATERIALS: • Healthy Syngonium stem • Clean, sharp pruning shears • Clean glass or propagation container • Fresh water • Small planter with drainage • Light, airy aroid substrate 🌱 AROID MIX: • 40% coco coir • 30% orchid bark • 20% perlite or pumice • 5% horticultural charcoal • 5% worm castings METHOD: 1. Choose a healthy Syngonium stem with at least ONE clearly visible node. A leaf without a node cannot produce a complete new plant. 2. Make a clean cut just below the node. 3. Remove any lower leaf that would otherwise remain underwater. 4. Place the cutting in clean water with the NODE submerged while keeping the leaves above the waterline. 5. Keep it somewhere warm with bright indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight. 6. Replace the water regularly to keep it fresh. 7. Over the following weeks, new roots should begin emerging from the node. 8. Wait until the cutting has developed several healthy roots before transferring it to substrate. 9. Fill a small planter with a light, airy aroid mix and gently plant the rooted cutting without damaging the new roots. 10. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. 11. During the transition from water to substrate, keep the mix slightly more consistently moist while the roots adapt. Never leave it permanently waterlogged. 12. Once established, allow the upper portion of the substrate to begin drying between waterings and keep the plant in bright indirect light. 🌱 PRO TIP: The NODE is the key to Syngonium propagation.
