lol idk why I’m thinking about this but if you aren’t an engineer, lawyer, or finance bro, you need to become one. having the courage to do something as hard as surfing on a short hard board with no experience and humbling yourself for 2 hours with no shame is the same energy that will make you a ton of money in a male dominated space

Girl, get an 8 or 9 ft foamy. Start by surfing the whitewash / whitewater. Make sure you understand the conditions at the beach before entering the water. I would recommend starting with a lesson. You got this!

Nice board but maybe start with a Wavestorm. Also, lookup duck-diving and if you have access to a pool, practice that technique — it is "low-key" important in order to get out past the inside break. 🏄♀️

You should take a lesson or two! It genuinely makes such a big difference, there’s so many things you don’t even realize until someone with experience tells you. It’s soo helpful then once u learn the basics from them u just keep going on ur own until u don’t eat shit anymore LOL

I’ve taught a few friends to surf but I would recommend starting off on an 8ft or 9ft foam board. Idk what size the board you bought is, but learning on a smaller board will be much more challenging. The foamies will be easier to paddle and will be far more stable. Also, make sure you find a beach good for beginners so that the waves are good for learning and so that you don’t get in the way of people at a more advanced break

Surfing take a lot of patience!! Trust the process and find the waves meant for you (it’s actually a game changer). Fun comfortable waves=fun time :) baby steps, coming from someone who surfed the wrong waves for yearss ✌️😽

ive seen girls go surfing not knowing how to swim in San diego. that will getanyone killed once the leash snaps which happens often. like few times yr often if u go 3x week yr round. I dont know how to surf but I would tell anyone going to beach, the 1st thing is to figure out how to lock the csr safely. asume all your bags will be taken if left on beach in california, understand stepping in ground in water will mean stepping on stingrays, wnd if they get u it may hurt like nothing you've ever felt for a good 5 hours. and most importantly protect your head. alot people get crippled. try to never go head first Into the water.
