@debbie_squizzero_medium: One of the hardest questions I hear from people grieving someone they love is: **“Did they suffer when they died?”** 🤍 Over and over again in readings, Spirit has shown me something that I hope can bring comfort: **The body and the soul do not experience death in the same way.** The physical body may struggle with pain, changes in breathing, or discomfort, but what I have repeatedly been shown is that **the soul knows when it is time to begin separating from the physical body.** 🕊️ As that transition takes place, the soul begins to detach. **Once our loved one’s soul has transitioned into the afterlife, they are no longer experiencing the pain of the body they have left behind.** Spirit has shown me many times that this separation can begin **before the body reaches the most difficult part of the transition.** What we witness physically does not necessarily reflect what our loved one is experiencing spiritually. Many people who have had near-death experiences describe something similar. Some report being outside their body, viewing it from another place or dimension, sometimes not immediately realizing the body they are seeing is their own. Most comforting of all, many describe **feeling no physical pain there.** Instead, they speak of peace, awareness, freedom, and an overwhelming sense of love. 🤍 Your loved one is not carrying that pain in Heaven. They are not reliving their illness. They are not trapped in their final moments. They are not experiencing the suffering you may still remember. **What you witnessed happening to their body was not necessarily what their soul was experiencing.** The body may have struggled as it let go, **but the soul was already making its way home.** 🕊️💛 When the body is left behind, so is the pain. Love continues.
