it could be your quick-start it's built into your cdi box you'll have to put a new cdi box in it .

replacing carb bowls does nothing. I bet the low and high jets are clogged and its not getting enough fuel. pull the plugs if there snow white up have a fuel issue. if there wet with fuel you have a ignition issue spark plugs tell you everything

Check Optical eye under flywheel timing cover. U need an optical analzyer to determine if it’s bad. You can also check timing with analyzer

Have you checked the bleed lines? Look for cracks, your supposed to check the valves in the block w a syringe and isopropyl. I'd also see what plug is not looking normal, the top or btm plug will be lean if the crank seal is out. Look at the enrichener, it will flood the motor if it's not working correctly.

Those plastic bowls are famous for letting the brass main jet to back out and lean out. OMC made a drain plug that would remedy this. It has a slot through and a pin on top to stop from backing out while allowing the fuel to flow.

Flip that little red lever. Forgot which way it’s suppose to be but that’s your primer and if it’s flipped one way it’s constantly on.

pull the back cover off the back of the coils. check all the orange wires going to the coils to make sure they are wired correctly. if the are the check the timming do a link and sink then adjust the carbs. you will need a small Allen wrench to adjust them the adjustment screws are on the throttle plate behind the carbs .you will have to put your Allen wrench through a small hole in the carb to reach them ? what's the model number on the engine? do you have a video of it running?

The issue is your motor is in QuickStart when cold it ramps up the timing then once it gets hot it’s reducing the idle timing o probably time to replace the electrical components get a manual and a good multimeter start testing parts call cdi they might be able to help you pinpoint the issue good luck with that mess 👍

if it spits and quits it's a lean issue for sure..check jets and make sure they are clear and open..also check under flywheel and make sure spark advance is free when throttle is advanced..

U might have to sync all 3 carbs I rebuilt them and couldn’t get it right they were out of sync

It’s been a long time but I thought those had some check valves on the recirc hoses that would fail and cause a lean pop at idle.

It’s probably something to do with the OSI system look up the diagram on Marine engine for that particular motor that will help you a lot
