Narcissists typically have a ton of friends and "family enablers" because they constantly need validation and assistance. However their victims often end up isolated...other than that, totally agree.

Oh thats just sad... These are ALL reactions to being abused and NOT doing anything back... Which is why THIS is a list at all... They've studied victims, and seek to gain attention. Its just so sad this is a thing

My ex narc told me he always gets what he wants. I read that as ambition and confidence instead of control, which is what it really is. And mine said the opposite, that everyone likes him, he has a lot of friends, which I admired because I had a small friend group. Having too many friends is also a red flag.

hi 👋🏼 I have no friends. I don’t do well in friend groups cause I tend to get targeted. i’m not saying it’s 0% my fault. I struggle with “just going along” with things when I sense any amount of injustice or dishonesty. not being able to keep my mouth shut creates drama. I get seen as being the cause of it, not the behavior or pattern i’m speaking out against. I get that a certain amount of tolerance is necessary to exist in communities, but that tolerance feels like abandoning my morals. I try, but eventually the discomfort gets too much and I can’t keep it in anymore. i’m not saying i’m morally superior, just that i’m not wired to fit into most social dynamics. the people i’ve had to walk away from aren’t 0% at fault, but neither am I. but I definitely am not narcissistic.

I disagree with number one and two because a lot of people who have experienced narc abuse or who have social anxiety or CPTSD or autism spectrum disorder or are just naturally introverted may not have friends or may avoid social media. Often narcs have tons of friends because they put on a false persona. And many of them love social media because it allows them to present themselves in whichever manner they choose and garner attention or gain information about others.

you have a lot of work to do in terms of seeing deeper layers of covert narcissism. people who perfer solidarity because their authenticity and beauty tiggers insecure people, aren’t narcissists…. narcissists have lots of friends, they’re constantly performing

I barely have friends only because it’s hard to make friends and I’m very socially anxious. Social media has also ruined us.
