@etchaskej: I’m not Filipino, but being in a theater of people feeling seen watching their culture, their family dynamics, the language and accent, their struggles, etc on the screen was really healing for me to be a part of. The love that went into this movie and the universal story and message of chosen family is what made me feel so connected to this movie and ultimately what made me weep in the theatre.
