A few things to remember: 1. Pick the right location — Choose high, dry ground away from dead trees, flood areas, and other hazards. 2. Build your frame — Use a strong ridge pole and sturdy branches to create the basic structure. 3. Add the covering — Lean smaller branches against the frame to create walls. 4. Insulate it — Layer leaves, pine branches, grass, bark, or other dry natural materials over the outside. 5. Insulate the ground — Add a thick layer of dry vegetation underneath you.
