@saltsugarandstories: Replying to @afishcalledwanda2 This comment stopped me in my tracks today. Saying she got more Jesus from me than she ever got in a church is both wonderful and utterly tragic. But what a gift those words were to me. Because y’all, I’m no preacher. I’m no teacher. I’m just a little old woman from Keithville, Louisiana, who wakes up every day still absolutely astounded that God has allowed me to have this platform. But I know who gave it to me. And I know it isn’t mine. “To whom much is given, much will be required.” Luke 12:48. I think about that. I also think about Jesus saying that we will give an account for our words. And I don’t take either of those things lightly. Whether I’m cooking dinner, telling some ridiculous story, laughing with y’all, or talking about something that God has laid on my heart, my prayer is that somehow, somewhere in it all, my words point somebody back to Him. If God gave me this little corner of the internet, then I want to use it for the reason He gave it to me. Not for me. For Him. So afishcalledwanda, thank you. Your comment meant more to me than you could possibly know.
