I agree with you. This whole situation really just showed peoples true colors. Just because there’s a bump in the road for you doesn’t mean you have to take everyone else down with you especially since you know you put the work in and deserve to test and get the license . Aside from this I also think it’s heartbreaking to see that the “mean/evil nurse” stereotype is true. If you go videos of nurse influencers going over this situation and look at the comments so many licensed RNs are putting down the students of this school who are the victims in all of this mess btw. Like I could see where someone is coming from if they’re calling out the school or the BRN but a lot of these nurses are attacking students. Saying we aren’t deserving of being an RN for trying to take an easy way out, calling us incompetent and other terrible things. They also say that nursing school should never be online and therefore none of us deserve to take the NCLEX . Like lady you took the nclex 1000 years ago and it is now the year 2026 there is nothing wrong with having new ways of structuring nursing programs as long as all requirements are met. If the BRN has an issue with the clinical hours and the school agrees then they can just let us complete those extra hours and that’s it. There’s no need to make a huge deal and put others down for trying to find way to get ahead in life and complete their dreams. A lot of these people shouldn’t be nurses .

They are not going to grandfather anyone in. Please do more research. Nobody has won against the BRN. It is bad to ask for ppl to be revoked though.

I’m sorry I get your emotions and I think I know who you’re talking about. There are few students speaking at the board meeting telling the legal counsel of the board that basically if you don’t license us you need to take past graduates license away. This was coming from your own nightingale college student not public members who aren’t part of the school. And the BRN has a responsibility to patient safety, just as police have a responsibility to public safety. Maybe if the college had been transparent and properly informed their students, students wouldn’t have felt the need to go to board meetings just to get updates. Blame the college’s lack of leadership, transparency, and mismanagement for this entire situation. This has been going on since May 2025, and the BRN notified the college in January that they would not be allowing anyone to test for the NCLEX until the college could prove equivalency. The college refused to comply and continued brushing the issue off. They also failed to properly notify their students. Students had to go to the board meeting in July and publicly organize just to get answers. That is when the college finally decided to come forward with communication to students and created the BRN update link. Had the college respected its students and done right by them from the beginning, none of this public negativity would have happened. December graduates have been waiting since December for their ATT to be approved. Every month, they emailed the college asking for updates, all the way until mid-July, and the college continued giving responses that students felt were misleading, claiming the delay was because there were so many people applying. Students deserved to know the truth about what was actually happening with their licensure.

I watched and listened to your entire video lol Let me say I 💯 agree with your input! 🎯I'm a new CA NG learner starting in Sept and the reason NG was my ultimate choice was because of its flexibility and lower cost. Not because it will be easier! I keep seeing current practicing Nurses comment about how they "didn't take the easy way out" and "did in-person clinicals" and to "revoke past NG alumni's licenses" like what? Becoming a nurse is hard enough and all programs are very difficult and different! For instance, take Covid nursing students? How we're they able to complete clinicals? Or people that come from OTHER countries? How can those be allowed to test for the NCLEX but not a US sister Statea that's an accredited school? The saltiness is real and Im appalled that this will be the community of nurses I will be working with - eventually. Disappointed much.

It was your fellow night Yale graduates, who said, if we can't test then our other fellow graduates should not be able to test either. Since you guys were all held to the same criteria. This is not a matter of just opinion. This is a matter of patient safety and standards. And everyone who is licensed by the board is to uphold the same standard. So if I actually would agree with a graduate saying that if their education did meet the standard and they weren't allowed to test that no one else should be allowed to test either. And no one else should be able to have a license. Because if you're going to do 41 group, you should do for the other that is to say, if you're going to allow one group of nurses to sit for the boards, then we should allow the other group that has the same criteria to meet. But if no one in that group meets, then no one in that group should have a license. That is true logic.

They have everything to do with it bc the CA BRN allowed over 2500 students take their boards with the same clinical hours as being supposedly questioned today.
