@opinionatedlucy: Becoming emotionally numb is part of the job, but when it gets to the point it’s affecting everything!!! You need to step back and intervene quickly! Your mental health matters, your life matters, you matter! #bullyinginthenhs #nhsistoxic #nhsworker #healthcareworker #nhsnurse
ive been diagnosed as having PTSD ,,I blame it on the lockdown and the stress we were put under😳 at the end of the day you are only a number on payroll ,if you go on sick or leave they will have your job advertised the same day !!!! I'm only just beginning to start having a life again !! still in care sector, but have stepped back a lot since diagnosed,,look after yourselves cos the Health and Care sector will chew you up and spit you out again and the top brass are only concerned ,in this day and age ,about fecking audits !! 😳😳

100% agree. I’ve worked as a domiciliary carer for 8 years this year. We need to look after ourselves 🫶

Unfortunately, many who stood up for themselves were set up, frustrated and kicked out. There is a mob culture in some health care settings and those who speak up are many times not protected.

Carers have my up most respect… but yes you may becoming less emotional as you see it every day but the patients daughters , husband etc have not . So remembering that is key . Thank you for your support in healthcare .

Then it turns the most caring people into to angry workers towards management due to lack of respect, lack of help, no support what so Ever, lack of staff. I have started having my breaks in my car because I was so sick of being dragged back in to deal with doctors while on my UNPAID break.
