Color has everything to do with everything people treat light skin, girls, or light skin boys like they’re more superior compared to people with darker tones, dark skin girls are often characterized as manly and aggressive. when light skin girls/boys can get away with whatever y’all want to get away with because y’all are lighter so y’all are seen as more attractive/ innocent if that makes sense. and yes, people do only like some people because they’re light skin people do get away with stuff because if they’re of a lighter skin complexion . have we not been seeing where people of lighter shades have been getting away with? how they don’t get stereotyped? called the n word? etc etc. like come on now this is a horrible horrible take go do research. and if you don’t know how it feels to be called a monkey, or you disappear in the light, and just so much of the rude comments about your skin complexion you shouldn’t be speaking on it. I’m not saying that light skin people cannot experience oppression. I’m just saying, the literal meaning of colorism is oppression towards darker people?

It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. She was hostile, and you can sense it just like you can sense everything else that isn’t being said. We’re not saying she can’t say “Black girls,” but the way she said it sounded like it was in all caps and bold letters. Half of the people aren’t being sensitive, they’re saying she said it harshly. But there’s another half of people who were doing entirely too much with the threats. She didn’t deserve that. At the same time, us joking about how she said something about us Black girls and how we didn’t like the way she said it and getting a good laugh out of it isn’t wrong. I’m only talking about the videos where the Black girls were mocking what she said and how she said it.
