Have you seen the version with David Tenant? The Doctor and Donna. So much chemistry and so funny

Also, best line in all of Shakespeare, "I would eat his heart in the marketplace !"

This is exactly how my English teacher in high school went through the plot of all the Shakespeare plays in our Shakespeare class. (Maybe not so many F bombs 😂) It made me really love Shakespeare through high School into my English degree in college. This is the way to teach it! His job.

If this was how all of classic literature was taught, we would be a much more literate society. I adored this and you reminded me of my favorite English/Lit teachers who made it all come alive! Thank you for being you! <3

The rest of the plot is an excuse for Beatrice and Benedick’s banter. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

this is one of my favorite movies!!! and I love Shakespeare but not all the movies are great - this cast is awesome! (why does he love a "pretend death" plot?? lol)

back in college I had to do the same synopsis of MAAN to my classmates before we had to watch the live play, because they were all worried they wouldn't understand it because Shakespeare is hard for many. You did great!

I’m with you on the Keanu thing. Love him to bits but Branagh missed on that casting. What has really stuck with me the (OMG!!!) 33? years since I first saw it was the size of the f’in grapes. They were massive and I always wondered about that. 😂 But, as for the A plot, still love Moonlighting the most for its absurdity.

No, but you're right! I'm forever sad that Keanu is awful in this (but nothing else ever again!)
Also, I always thought he hatched the plan to hurt Claudio out of jealousy.

yes, Whedon sucks, I just can't help but love his version of this play! Amy Acker's grief rant rivals Emma Thompson's. and Nathan Fillion's Dogberry is just as good as Keaton's. I could (and have 😂) spent an embarrassing amount of time comparing/contrasting those two productions
