Looking back to one year ago, I got to experience one of the most moving moments of my life, when several of my dear musician friends came in to Washington, DC to surprise me by performing my songs for my Kennedy Center Honors tribute. @Jackson Browne, James Taylor, @Sheryl Crow, @Brandi Carlile, @Keb’ Mo’, Susan Tedeschi, Arnold McCuller, Emmylou Harris and Dave Matthews just blew me and everyone away. @Julia Louis-Dreyfus gave the most wonderful introduction paired with a terrific video about me created by the stellar Kennedy Center team.  It was an unbelievable night and I’m so grateful this could happen when it did. Parte del cosiddetto campo largo, soprattutto il Movimento Cinque Stelle, e alcuni intellettuali vicini al mondo della sinistra come Alessandro Barbero continuano a opporsi in maniera decisa all’invio di armi all’Ucraina, sostenendo che la Russia non sia una reale minaccia e che bisognerebbe costruire un dialogo con Mosca (nonostante Putin abbia più volte dimostrato di non essere interessato al dialogo). Il leader del M5S Giuseppe Conte negli scorsi giorni ha inoltre detto che, anche se Elly Schlein dovesse vincere le primarie di coalizione, il suo partito non potrebbe mai accettare di allinearsi sulla questione. L’ex presidente del Consiglio dunque si rifiuterebbe di supportare economicamente e militarmente la difesa di Kyiv, suggerendo di voler dettare la linea anche in caso di sconfitta alle primarie.
