OpenSEO needs a DataForSEO API key so that you can get SEO data. You pay them directly when self hosting. nothing new and you pay your request... few bucks but clearly less than Big Major tools

i can get semrush for 10 bucks with no issues. I'm not proud of it but their pricing is just insane for someone who's just getting started.
