@teresabisazza: Last week, I had the absolute privilege of attending the launch of the @commonry Fit Check, a community created around women coming together, sharing experiences, talking honestly about fit and style, and feeling good in the clothes we wear. We spent the night sharing our thoughts, swapping stories and, most importantly, feeling seen. There was something really special about sitting around a table with women who have all experienced fashion in different ways, but could understand that feeling of wanting to see yourself represented; Of wanting your body to be considered. Of wanting your voice to actually matter. Growing up, I never imagined I’d be invited to a table like this. Truthfully, I never thought I’d belong in the room. And now I’m sitting at one. Not just as someone wearing the clothes, but as someone whose opinions, experiences and perspective are being invited into the conversation. That means more to me than I can put into words. The Commonry Fit Check creates space where women can be heard, represented and celebrated and where the clothes we wear can be shaped by the women actually wearing them. What a beautiful initiative to be a part of.
