Try dropping off triplets in three different states and then coming back to your empty house! After I dropped them off freshman year they never came back home except for Xmas because they always had internships. But hear me out. As much as that sucked for me, they were thriving!! It meant that I was a successful mom. They've since graduated and are off getting PhDs and law degrees..in three different states still. (Thank God for cell phones) I'm so proud of them!!!!! Don't ask me about my kids or I'll talk your ear off for hours! Let them fly and explore the world without feeling guilty. No more tears

In Lima, Peru, our children are our whole lives. We enroll them in universities just an hour's bus ride away, and they stay right by our side. Even at 40, they are still under our roof, eventually bringing their own partners and children into the fold. We are one beautiful, big family forever. We don't need nursing homes because we take care of our own, from the oldest to the youngest. 🇵🇪❤️🏠

I am currently sitting in LaGuardia waiting on my flight back to STL having dropped my kid off in Maine as a freshman. He and I drove for 3 days together to get there, now I’ve said goodbye and am flying home. I totally understand what you mean.

And it happens during perimenopause or full menopause. It’s a sick joke. The hormones that brought them into the world fail us when it’s time to send them out to the world. I sent my youngest of 6 to college last year. I was a mess.

That drive home without is brutal. I sat in my son’s room several times a week and just cried like a baby. It is so sweet when he visits and his friends are here. They laugh like they did in 4th grade. Precious moments!
