I can read my native language, anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) but I can't speak it because there're dozens of dialects and no Elder can hold back their laugh when I try 😭

my human warlock can read draconic, celestial, deep speech, primordial, "eldritch", and "Archonic". But he can only speak common, and the worst part is... he's dyslexic. 💀

Warlocks (in 5E, might have changed by now) have access to the Eldritch Invocation ’Eyes of the Runekeeper’ which absolutely allows them to read anything but not speak the language; the fact that he’s a warlock is a very happy accident
