I wouldn't. these cars are so old it's easy to mod them but keeping them original or close is just so much cooler. you're gonna cut that plastic up for 5 extra watts of power

Make sure you figure out a way to keep water away from the wires! Mine got soaked in water after cutting the panel a bit for bigger speakers.
