I respect the ability to be so an attached to objects. Unfortunately, half my stuff has sentimental value. I’d be standing in my house, like “I gotta take my childhood toy rabbit. My point shoes, my music box my Nanna gave me, the book my grandma gave me, the drawing I did of my mum when I was a kid, my dad’s toy dog.”😂

Yall don’t have KEEPSAKES?? My auntie had to evacuate a couple weeks ago and she straight up broke the law to go in for a second trip of stuff because she’s the keeper of the family stuff. Handwritten recipes that literally came over on the boat from Ireland. Irish crochet handmade by my greatx4 grandmother. The bowl I made my auntie when I was 2. Great grandpa’s boat key. The family photo albums. The Christmas decorations handmade by her and her siblings when they were all still alive. Her rare Irish songbooks with her grandma’s handwritten notes in the margins. Her deceased eldest sister’s leatherjacket. Her other deceased sister’s knit sweater. Her stuffed animal from childhood. The list goes on and on. NOTHING???
