When I picked Sabrina up at Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine in August of 2023, she had been diagnosed with BLV that had progressed into lymphoma and had tumors throughout her reproductive tract. Sabrina had also suffered a severe vaginal prolapse after her last birth at her dairy and was no longer able to safely carry and bear any new calves. Since that day, she has been the most loving and attentive mama ever! At 11 months old, Teddy is almost as big as Sabrina, but still loves to be babied by her. He still nurses occasionally and loves his one-on-one mother & son time. Dairy farmers like to tell you that dairy cows are bad mothers. How could they know if they’ve never allowed them to raise their newborns? All creatures deserve the chance to love and be loved.
