@lolotantoronto: Let’s see how one of my newest spray tan artists in training does with this surprise ambush👀 She knew another spray tan model was coming in but Jess never said who it was🥸 Honestly… she did a pretty great job for it being her 2nd day ever spray tanning! I’ve hired girls with spray tanning experience AND girls who had none. I used to think if I hired someone with experience that it would make our lives easier during the training period… And sometimes it does. BUT..that’s definitely not always the case..sometimes it makes things harder! On several occasions the artists who pick up our specific LOLO technique the fastest are the ones who have no prior spray tanning experience. When we’re working with a blank canvas, we have the opportunity to teach them from scratch and there’s no muscle memory to undo, bad habits or poor technique to undo, etc… we get to teach them EXACTLY how we want the service done without an “unlearning” or “rewiring” period which can often be the part that makes training existing spray tan artists more difficult.
