I never really thought about this, but even though she has seismic sense she still needs to have ridiculous reaction time and mastery to be able to counter and fight effectively as she does.

fun fact the way toph fights is a genuine martial arts style invented in a small village of china i believe along the southern coastal area where there was a high percentage of people born blind so they developed a method of self defense. she uses those same styles of movement in combat.
