There’s some of that, but then there’s also a genre of maga where: the rules do not apply to them. Because they are so devout and they’re teachings that they don’t have to also abide by them, and I know that might seem weird or contradictory, but I’ve seen it firsthand. They do not believe that they are sinning because they’re doing in the name of God.

My dad is truly aggressive when he talks to people, let's his mind spiral and make things up that make sense to him, then he fully believes it without question and calls other people dishonest and liars when they challenge him. And if you're rude back to him, he takes great offense to that. He said things like, "your grandma was so nice to me even though I never deserved it." and that right there is the expectation. He thinks he can do whatever he wants, say he's sorry, but never change his behavior, and everyone is supposed to respond to him with rainbows and butterflies. . Guess who he voted for? 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

It's a good theory, but I think there is an internal moral compass that they are lacking. Some people just don't have it, not from religion not from their upbringing. I will never forgive, ever.

What they are missing is the repentance part! You don’t get into heaven without repentance. “Faith without works is dead”. Feel free to recognize your mistake, but until you 1) ask forgiveness 2) show remorse by apologizing 3) Do all you can to make it right! A lot of these “Christians” have lost the plot. People aren’t required to accept you back in their lives. “Forgive and Forget” is God’s job. We might eventually forgive their ignorance, but we won’t forget it! And if they don’t educate themselves and do the right thing moving forward they will never be accepted into the group.
