I actually used to work at the West Roads Von Maur, I worked as a Salesman in the Women’s Shoe Department. During my orientation, it was me and another girl and the supervisor. We were in the middle of filling out paperwork and the next thing we hear is a woman yelling help. We all looked at each other and immediately got up to go check and see what was going on. There was nobody upstairs with us, we checked all the halls. The area we were in was empty and when we called over the radio to ask if anyone else heard it, everyone said no. The place is haunted. Specifically the third floor near the customer service area where they wrap gifts. You can always hear a woman having a conversation too when it’s empty or after hours.

Will never forget sitting in my Civics class at Millard West when we got the announcement. My sis had been driving home from UNMC that day and *meant* to stop at Von Maur but missed her exit, and thought, “oh well, I’ll go another day.” Prolly should’ve bought a lottery ticket on the way home too!

I remember this day so clearly. I had just turned 10. My mom and I were going to go to the mall for my birthday to get these giant bear slippers from hot topic, and check out the perfumes in Von Maur beforehand. I was in a crabby mood after school, which was a half day, and my mom said "let's go another day". We got home and saw this on the TV- we would have been on the third floor, where he began the shootin, If I wasn't in that crabby mood. Also, fun fact- this is the earliest confirmed 4chan involved shooting.
