The Guardians are basically just raising a “obedient Green Lantern from Earth” for themselves, because ever since Hal joined the Corps, he’s constantly been trying to uncover the secrets the Guardians keep hidden. He doesn’t blindly follow the rules if he thinks something is wrong, he questions the information the Guardians give the Lanterns, and that’s exactly why he has accomplished so many great feats. He’s not a “obedient soldier” — he’s a person who thinks for himself and is willing to go against the rules when necessary to save someone’s life.

I love Hal and I think he knows something is up, which is why he’s acting the way he is. But at the same time, I really think he’s training John not to just blindly follow whatever the Guardians tell him to do.

Стражи просто ростят себе “послушного фонаря из Земли”, так как Хэл с самого появления в корпусе все время лезет узнать разные тайны которые Стражи хронят, не слушается правил ғсли считает что что-то не так, ставит под сомнения информацию которую дают стражи фонарям и поэтому он и совершил множество своих подвигов, он не “послушный солдат”, а человек со своей головой на плечах, идущий на перекор правилам когда это нужно чтобы спасти чьи-то жизни
