I had cancer back in 2006 and I used to wear wigs to appease everybody. Then one day on Mother’s Day we were at a restaurant that happened to have no AC. The sweat was rolling down the back of my neck and I felt like I was going to pass out. So I ripped my wig off. It was like one of those movie scenes where the whole crowd gets quiet and just stares at you. And then a guy started pointing at me and laughing. I’m talking a 50-year-old guy. People are fucking stupid and I’m sorry that you had to go through that. Feel a hug from a sister cancer survivor

Shani should’ve turned comments off the second they started to turn negative. Unless it was the weekend & truly no one was moderating, they don’t need the comment engagement. Since it went viral, the majority of those comments are likely from children, so pls don’t let the comments get to you!

My Niece just beat cancer, she lost an eye, but kept her life. She has dealt with comments when she had a wig and was wearing an eye patch. Some people are absolutely cruel, but just know most people are kind and supportive. You are beautiful with or without the wig. Keep moving and don’t give another second of attention to bad humans. ❤️

I'm a cancer patient too (blood cancer and end stage kidney failure), but the other day I had to get a lump removed from my head. Chemo has only thinned my hair, but I haven't lost it. I look like Sideshow Bob. 🤣🤣 You're stunning! Don't listen to them. Here, you can laugh at my misfortune.
