What I still don’t think they’ve done the best job clarifying is why they don’t just give John his own ring. Yeah Hal is problematic but if they’re asking John to be his shadow even though they seem to think he’d be a great green lantern, you gotta wonder why not just give John a ring and be done with it? Jordan is human he’s not going to live forever, the ring will return when he’s dead. In the meantime you’d have a GL who follows orders to clean up Hal’s mess.
