All the non-trans ppl talking about surgeries and hormones. BLOCKERS. HORMONE BLOCKERS. They pause your puberty or prevent it. As soon as you come off it you hit your puberty. My mom was the one who prevented me from getting blockers and she knows I greatly dislike her for it.

Osteoporosis isn’t fun. Literally your hormones during puberty are so important for bone development. Inhibiting them, especially long term, is dangerous. I’m a female, so we’re automatically at risk. I plead with you to please be grateful that you didn’t dramatically increase your risk.

this is a great thing of the parents to do. when i was in middle school i was so sure i was trans but then i realized i actually loved being a girl and went back to she/her and im more comfortable than ever. if anything, i think you should be grateful your parents are even saying you can medically transition at all. most parents abandon their kids. just my thoughts though!

for everyone in the comments, obviously no one would let a 4yo child transition medically 😭 the earliest you'll get hormone BLOCKERS (which just pause your biological puberty) is around 11-13 and then after long evaluation you'll maybe start with actual estrogen at 15-16 (most doctors want to wait until you're 16). and if you change your mind before getting actual HRT you can just stop taking the blockers and your natural puberty resumes as normal. please educate yourself before making stupid comments 🫶 p.s.: surgeries such as gender reassignment are illegal under the age of 18

People who aren’t trans don’t understand how developmentally damaging/distressing it is to go through puberty as a gender you are not. Medical transitioning can be as simple as putting them on puberty blockers until they’re able to make the decision to do hrt and surgery’s. Yall just don’t understand the terminology and that’s okay. Don’t be rude abt it tho
