I had no idea this could cause bloat! I've always felt like it would make them sick the way they drink so much after running around so I interrupt them and discourage them so they actually calm down and drink at a normal pace... but never knew how it could make them sick. good to know I wasn't making it up... bloat in dogs is such a scary thing omg

I hide their water bowl until that tongue stops flopping around & even then i only allow them a bit and few mins later ill allow more otherwise they’ll inhale the whole bowl at once

So many People forget that Dogs dont Sweat, They dont lose water like Humans do. Humans are practically Designed to Rapidly cycle water.

I shut the door to their room before we even go out for a walk, so that when we get back they don't run to their bowls. Once they stop panting, then I allow them back in.

my dogs always been allowed to drink water whenever she wants 😭 she just knows how to control herself and take small sips and then wait 5 minutes before another small sip

Wolves and other animals in the wild don’t wait to drink after they’ve been running and are panting heavily and they all end up fine hahaha I don’t get it. Cute dog though!
