People don't get why they insist on it. They don't want that sign to be trivialised or misunderstood by population and lose its meaning. Especially when soldiers of tomorrow are the people who play the games. You can't even use it on first aid packs without permission, it's main purpose is to mark emergency personel from crossfire

Yeah, only gvmnts and a few big corporations are allowed to ignore the geneva convention. Everyone else has to (and should anyway) follow it.

It's just because nobody wants to dilute the value of the symbol. Everyone knows it's for health and medics and diluting it with game symbology it could lead to someone misunderstanding it in the distant future. It's just one of those things that don't really matter but it takes no effort to put in a green cross so just do it

Btw this is only true for the real world, the one game chose to do it because they wanted to reference that law, you can make your hospital red

I love this technicality because I Stardew Valley, a farming game, the creator made the hospital have a red cross, and there is mentions of war with the character Kent. So on one update he made a note about "removed a warcrime" or something.
