@mis.shelly: 📍 Busan Daegee Gukbap in Duluth, GA I found an authentic Korean local spot in Duluth that specializes in Busan-style gukbap! It’s self-serve and no tipping is required! Here’s what we tried: ⭐️ Spicy Pork Gukbap (Recommend ✅) This came in a hot stone bowl with a generous amount of thinly sliced pork and garlic chives. The broth tasted VERY plain at first. But I learned that traditional gukbap starts with a simple pork bone broth that’s cooked for a long time, and you’re supposed to season it yourself with the condiments provided. ⭐️ Pork Head Meat Gukbap My husband tried the pork head meat soup, which came with plenty of tender pork and the same simple-style broth. ⭐️ Handmade Mandu (Recommend ✅) Totally handmade in-house! The dumpling wrappers had a nice chewy texture, with a filling made with pork, chives, and what I believe was bamboo shoots. ⭐️ Braised Pork Slices The pork was super tender and lightly seasoned with a little bit of fat. It was a little rich for me by itself, but pairing it with the pickled cabbage made SUCH a difference.
