In my opinion, the people i meet “in person” are just as hit or miss as dating apps. You can meet great people IRL or people who ghost you IRL. And the same goes for online. It’s all about ~discernment~ regardless of how you met the person.

I can totally see this side of it and for a while I felt a similar way. I’m a person who values a lot of emotional depth- and found that changing my approach and profile helped attract those people. Putting soo many prompts in my profile about the deeper sides to me, and looking for long terms etc. I noticed that hinge specifically people utilize the prompt-answer feature which helps a lot! Like if I have a different prompts of my profile to respond to, and somebody just likes a random picture that just shows me they’re probably isn’t that depth and I usually don’t match with them. But it’s easy to start conversation with the prompts and when I send likes as well. All this being said, I met my boyfriend of 2 years on the app in that way and we hit it off and we’re both looking for something serious and never felt like I wanted to go back on the app. We did just break up a few weeks ago for similar reasons you and your ex did like only love there but our compatibility aspect was a struggle, but is/was my best friend so contact has been rough!!! Anyways girl your videos really help me so much.

as a bisexual i found that being on dating apps lowered my opinion of men, i realised from experience that a lot of men (obviously not all) will just swipe on women and not even read their profile and I also got the ick from how many people are 30+ and are still figuring out their dating goals or don't know what they want
