Day 31 of trying to reach Alex Cooper. ❤️ First, thank you so much for blessing so many moms through your baby registry program. Your generosity and kindness make such a difference for growing families, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my story. This year has completely changed my life. Shortly after finding out I was pregnant with our first baby, I lost my dad on June 22, and just over a month later, I lost my grandfather on July 26. My dad wasn’t just my father—he was my best friend, my biggest supporter, and the person I talked to every single day. The excitement of becoming a first-time mom was quickly overshadowed by unimaginable grief. Within an hour of seeing that positive pregnancy test, I told my dad he was going to be a grandpa again. He cried tears of pure happiness. As the youngest of eight children, he was beyond excited to watch me become a mom. The night before my dad passed away, he told me that if my baby was a girl, he would send me a red cardinal, and if my baby was a boy, he would send me a blue jay. The morning he passed away, my family was sitting on my brother Seth’s porch, grieving together with Seth and his wife, Meghan. Out of nowhere, a bright red cardinal landed right in front of us. From that moment on, I knew my dad had met my daughter before I ever would. That memory has brought me comfort on the hardest days. On June 19, I was blessed to marry my husband in my dad’s hospital room. Standing beside my twin brother, Seth, and my best friend, Meghan, we shared one of the most intimate and emotional moments of our lives so my dad could be there to witness us say, “I do.” It wasn’t the wedding we had dreamed of, but I wouldn’t trade that moment for anything. Just days later, instead of celebrating our marriage, we were planning his funeral. Now, I’m preparing to welcome our sweet baby girl, Rosslynn, who is due December 26. We named her after my dad, Richard Ross Williams, so she’ll always carry a piece of him with her. It breaks my heart knowing she’ll never get to meet the grandfather who already loved her so deeply. Between overwhelming grief, funeral expenses, and preparing for our first baby, this season has been incredibly difficult. I know there are so many families who deserve help, but if you chose our family, it would be such an incredible blessing during a time of so much hardship. Any kindness or support would mean more than words can express. Thank you again for taking the time to read our story. It truly means the world to us. ❤️ Babylist Registry: https://my.babylist.com/ydrzpifke Or search Sadie & Michael Winn on Babylist.
