I don’t want it anymore. And no, I’m NOT talking about the chaos that comes with family life. We have kids. Our house is loud, somebody always needs something, and half the time we’re just trying to figure out what’s happening next. That kind of chaos? Comes with the territory. But chaos between us? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Life already asks enough of us. I don’t want to wonder where I stand with the person I’m doing life with. I don’t want unnecessary drama, mind games, walking on eggshells or a relationship that constantly feels like work just to feel okay. Give me THIS. Me doing my lashes. Him putting things away. A random hug in the middle of getting ready. Friendship. Laughter. Attraction. Prayer. Being able to disagree and still know we’re good. Because the older I get, the more I realize peace in your marriage is a flex. Now will this man still get on my nerves? Absolutely. 😂 And I know I tap dance on his last one occasionally too.
