@lynsiehammond: Anyways NEVER put steroid cream on your face 🙃 and posting this makes me feel literally so insecure but it’s to spread the word about the cream ahhh #acne #acnejourney #perorialdermatitis
Me too girl! 50mg doxycycline helped so much, paired with Elidel cream and La Roche posay cicaplat💗💗

Elidel cream saved me! Stopped all face products, and my routine was only Cetaphil cleanser, Cetaphil lotion and Elidel cream for WEEKS, and it finally cleared up and I could introduce products back into my routine.

Omg I’m so sorry I went through this too. The only thing that helped me was a 90 day oral antibiotic (doxycycline) and then only cicaplast face wash and azeliac acid prescribed by the derm. I still don’t use any cream just a gentle eye cream. Try not to put makeup on it as much as possible! I hope it heals ASAP!!

I just got prescribed Tacrolimus but I’m so scared to use it cause of the TSW warnings (even tho not steroid) AND the FDA black box warning

I’m telling you… I don’t take any prescription antibiotics. Use carmex. The lip balm. It will go away within days. I promise.

I had this terribly postpartum. Got AI to create me a perioral safe skincare routine and I was so strict with it. Also Metronidazole from the GP. Sending all my love, it’s truly such a beast

Elidel cream (is a non steroid) helped me, you need a prescription from the Dr but can get over telehealth appointment. Also switching to non fluoride toothpaste. x

Your spot is in the EXACT PLACE I GET IT. It started in fall 2022 and was really bad on and off until spring of this year when my hair stylist of all people told me to get 3 ingredients and mix them all together- it got rid of her periorial dermatitis. She found the hack on some esthicitians tik tok. I’ve been on 4 different oral medications Nd 3 diff creams for it and nothing worked so I tried it and it was gone within a week and hasn’t come back.

Please try azelaic acid!!! Its the only thing that helped my skin long-term. Drugs will destroy your gut which will make the pd worse / return later. I use azclear otc cream 🫶🫶

Chiara Scuro :
Antibiotics do not work for PD. For most people it comes back way worse. Research is sorely lacking, but a lot of people anecdotally believe it comes from microbiome issues

Use something with zinc oxide - like nappy cream! This happened to me like 2 months ago and I could not get rid of it. After using the cream mainly really a thick layer at night, within 3 days it was all but gone and I’d been to the gp and tried so many different things.
