Hmmmm I’m not sure if you’re coming to the right conclusions from the research. Firstly, there’s no correlation between women who are very thin and any kind of expression of femininity, superficial or otherwise, so that’s a weird argument. Also, I’ve seen, as a curvy woman, how much fitness bros loveeee curvy women. Actually, I’m too thin for their tastes 😂. I think they’re trying to impress other men/a cultural standard that, ironically, is set in other areas of patriarchy like the beauty and fashion industries. I think some of these men are also hyper disciplined, ambitious and focused because they’re running from something—sometimes it’s their real sexuality.

I think what it actually might be is wealthy individuals are extremely obsessed with youth, thick body’s look womanly, curves are a straight up reminder of that being slim makes you look more youthful. I can speak from personal experience I’m only 19 but when my body was much curvier people assumed I was much older than I am, now that I’m more lean people actually guess my age correctly.
