@vanta6164: The goal isn’t punishing not-knowing. It’s stopping the know-it-all. “I don’t know” is fine when you own it. Have you seen people who don’t know anything getting loud because they think they are intellectually superior. This post is for those people. #PowerDynamics #Communication #Psychology #HumanBehavior #UncomfortableTruths
If it doesn't apply to you, don't take it the wrong way. I feel like some people are offended because they subconsciously have done this and the shame of realizing it causes them to be defensive or they just genuinely don't know and fear that they'd be judge

Asking that way is already defiant and skeptic

i don't like this at all. what is the goal here? to shame/punish someone for not knowing? what a weak mentality. every one of us has something that they don't know that someone else does. knowledge should be shared not gatekept. walk into any university and you'll see how wrong this original post is

The audio and text on slide 4 are literally just an excerpt from an entry-level corporate negotiation seminar. Why is this framed like a secret psychological weapon?

Your Best Nightmare :
As someone with a boss with a huge ego, I got tired of explaining to him the right way to do my job. I studied what I do for over 10 years and have a degree in what I do. So I just started asking him questions like I’m dumb and don’t know what I’m doing and he always freezes when I ask him questions. It kind of worked because he slowed down on micromanaging me but also his ego is undefeated.

this actually gives ground to the smart ones and backfires double on the user if used without the same level of knowledge to the person they're conversing with. worst is that if they also saw this post. best case scenario is when they let it slide.

I got to be honest I usually look something up even if I know I'm right because when someone is asking for information you can always make it up and still sound right it's not hard to spit out a number and an opinion but it's harder to get misled if you follow history but no one is perfect you should question every one especially people that speak as though they are without question. i don't know if that makes me stupid?
