my baby brothers were adopted into my family. they spent a long time in foster care and were terrified of water. i was only 7 and the older was 6 the other 2ish. for a while we would bathe together. i would foam up my hair and make it into spikes and bring stuffies and cups into the bath to play with. they were always so scared. i remember using conditioner to make patterns in their hair and on their skin and mine. i was scared of the water too but even i could see they needed a hand to hold. they stopped needing help after a while but i still needed help bathing until i was 10 because of autism. they are both grown up now. i love them so much and im so happy the water doesnt scare them anymore

Yall dont knoe how many kids respond to trauma in unconventional ways. Like acting like a cat I dont know why this character did, but you dont know why kids act the way they do. You do not know the whole story
