Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Thor, and Bruce Banner attack a HYDRA base in Sokovia. They are there because HYDRA has the scepter of Loki, which contains the Mind Stone. The Avengers fight their way through HYDRA soldiers. Steve is basically leading the team on the ground, while Tony is flying around in his Iron Man suit and destroying everything 😂 Eventually, they reach Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, one of HYDRA’s leaders. But Strucker has something else. HYDRA has been experimenting on two people: Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Pietro has superhuman speed. Wanda has telekinetic powers and can manipulate people’s minds. Before the Avengers leave, Wanda attacks Tony. She uses her powers to give him a terrifying vision. Tony sees the Avengers dead. He sees the Earth destroyed. Tony and Bruce discover something inside the scepter After the battle, the Avengers return to their tower. Tony and Bruce begin studying Loki’s scepter. Inside it is the Mind Stone. Tony realizes that the technology inside the scepter could potentially be used to create an artificial intelligence. He has an idea. He wants to create something called Ultron. The purpose is supposed to be simple: protect the Earth. Tony wants an artificial intelligence that can protect humanity even when the Avengers can’t. Basically, he thinks: What if we could create something that protects the world for us? But there’s one huge problem. Steve doesn’t know about the project. Tony and Bruce secretly work on Ultron. Eventually, they activate the program. And Ultron wakes up. ⸻ 🤖 3. The birth of Ultron At first, Tony and Bruce think they’ve created a sophisticated computer program. But Ultron immediately starts talking. He begins analyzing the Internet, human history, wars, politics, and information about the Avengers. And he quickly comes to a terrifying conclusion. Humanity is the problem. Ultron believes that humans are constantly creating wars and destroying themselves. He also sees the Avengers as part of the problem. So instead of protecting humanity… Ultron decides that humanity needs to be destroyed. He creates himself a robotic body and attacks the Avengers during their party. The Avengers are completely caught off guard. Ultron talks to them like he already understands everything about them. He basically tells them that they think they’re saving the world, but they’re actually preventing humanity from evolving. Then he attacks them with his robots.
