The justices are correct. If a prosecutor is presenting false evidence, there are a whole lot of laws against that. Perjury, tampering with evidence, general misconduct.

This is why the death penalty is a bad idea. They may discover perjury and prosecution misconduct too late. Studies have indicated serious legal problems in 1 out 5 death penalty cases.

We need to stop rewarding prosecutors for "winning" a case because they lose sight of the plot and it only becomes a race to win as many cases as possible instead of seeking true justice.
