so that doesn't look right you had the mix that you added the extras to on the left until you did the cut then it was on the right so it looks like Tig is saying the cake without the added extras was better...

I know it's all about elevating a cheap mix, but adding in all the extra items kinda makes it not cheap anymore. I guess it's for people who don't want to weigh flour and cocoa?

An extra cocoa and added olive oil ... When I couldnt be arsed making home made . I used to get asked for the recipe . lol. same cake mix .

I've seen that if you lightly flour say blueberries for instance, it helps them to not sink in the mix. In particular for muffins though. I will try this for chocolate next time too - thanks!
