I belive your statement's strength lies in cognitive flexibility and emotional maturity rather than raw IQ. Smart peope can be rigid and due to multiple intelligence types, someone might struggle to see another person's point of view coz of lack of social skills or, empathy yet they might be genius at coding , maths or abything else. Check out professors, they are the most rigid people you can meet.
