I wont quit, becsuse Elation wont last forever. as someone who did spend a good chunk of money on getting E2S1 phainon and E0S0 Cyrene, I wont quit over this, because it is temporary

Respectfully, a 2.x boss can do this to him. The memory zone meme. I have dreaded its return and them choosing to not have it in endgame for a year and 2 months. Let alone a single anom boss who has done it. Is a miracle. Phainon has been my anom king workhorse since anom came out but I think it’s reasonable that a year old unit doesn’t *always* get to plat anom king. I’d say the sparxie hp inflation is more annoying than this. 🤷🏻

not a problem at all just use other paths not that hard why a lot of people think if phainon gets countered everyone gets countered as well like bruh

Honestly i dont really like the Elation mechanics, especially for someone like me whos adhd, its too overestimating whenever i have to play an Elation character/Team. (Currency Wars/Divergent Universe.) Thats exactly why i havent pulled for any Elation characters. Sure the designs are amazing but for the sake of my sanity, ill stick to my Astral Express, Mono-Rem, and Phainon teams.

I see no issue with this, every boss so far has been made to counter a specific team. And nowadays every endgame content requires 3 teams, just put Phainon against a boss that doesn't do that to him. I literally have no idea why there's so much outrage about it.

I’m not quitting because I’m so casual I barely care about what’s happening. I log in and do dailies before leaving 90% of the time and I can’t do a lot of endgame. Based on the backlash, Hoyo will probably change a few things soon.

I mean this has happened with the feixio boss in apoc at some point and the memo keeper boss does the exact same thing so honestly I feel pll are exaggerating a bit :/ like yea sure its a bit annoying but it already happened

can like feixiao boss target take him out? (am new) is in beta so could still be changed if similar effects don't work, but if the change is required to progress the fight in some way unlike feixiao then idk

Like part of the whole thing of his ult is that he cant be cc'd so its crazy they would make a boss that takes him out of it. They are already making sure people wont run sustainless, whats next a boss that doesn't allow you to summon memosprite? I wont quit but they are making the game miserable

I personally think it's such a none issue because a) this is nothing new, something onto death from 2.0 was able to do this since phainon was released, b) even if phainon didn't get removed he would still be ass against this boss because it has such high resistance to anything other then elation dmg, and c) phainon was and still is about to bruteforce any content or boss thrown at him so one boss not allowing it is fair enough. Now if they continue designing bosses like this (which I kinda doubt) then it would be a serious issue. I'd rather people be angry at the boss having 80% resistance shield to anything that isnt elation dmg rather then phainon being kicked out of his ult

my problem is Phainon is such a brick they should at LEAST let him have the debuff immunity as his failsafe, he was so doomposted during beta and release and all of it turned out to be true, Phainon's kit hinges entirely on throwing all your resources to get his ult and let him do his thing so if he CAN'T do his thing your done for you spend all your skill points and ults on him just for his ultimate to get cancelled out like that and now you're stuck with nothing but supports because you don't really play a sustain either, I understand that he shouldn't brute force every boss but that's more of a damage/gimmick gate instead of a literal "fuck you Phainon" clausule added to a boss
