A year ago today, 61 million people watched us finish the UK. They had no idea what was coming next. We ran 73km on the final day of our 1,000-mile mission to become the first brothers ever to run the entire UK. At the time it felt like we were on top of the world. We’d raised over $370,000 for cancer. We’d pushed our bodies further than ever and made history. But just two months later everything changed. Our Grandma who had already battled cancer suffered a brain aneurysm and was left with permanent brain damage. Our Grandpa passed away. And we lost our third brother. Our Labrador Snowy passed away in Stef’s arms in the back of my car on the way to the vet after a stroke. It’s strange looking back at this video now. Millions of people saw the finish line. They saw the smiles. They saw the fairytale ending. They didn’t see what was coming next. Life isn’t always as it seems. The last year has taught us to keep running, keep fighting and never take the people you love for granted. We’ve now raised over $370,000 for cancer including $10,000 this year.
