Beneath a burial mound was an enormous Anglo-Saxon ship and a chamber filled with incredible treasures, including an intricate gold belt buckle, a famous helmet, and Byzantine silverware. ☀️ The Nebra Sky Disc, discovered in Germany in 1999, is around 3,600 years old and depicts the Sun, Moon, and stars in gold. It offers remarkable evidence of Bronze Age knowledge of the sky. 😮 The Sanxingdui gold mask, unearthed in China in 2021, came from a roughly 3,000-year-old sacrificial pit.
