Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At 1:56 a.m. on April 4, 2024, Officer Tyler Vaughn from Athens-Clarke County Police spotted a white 2013 Volkswagen Jetta flying down the road. He flipped on his lights for a stop. The driver kept going. By 2:02 a.m., Vaughn called for backup. Finally, the Jetta pulled into a spot near Abbey West apartments. Vaughn stepped out and met the driver, later ID'd as 22-year-old Mary Bullock. He told Mary to get out. Officers cuffed her while they checked things out. Talking to her, Vaughn smelled booze. He saw signs she was impaired. Officer Torie Teets showed up and took charge. She read Mary her rights. Mary said she'd come from Taco Bell on W Broad Street. Teets asked about drinks. Mary owned up to two glasses of wine at home before Taco Bell. Teets suspected DUI. She had Mary do sobriety tests. First came the eye test, Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus. Teets saw jerky eyes, no smooth tracking, shakes at the end, and early jerks before 45 degrees. Plus vertical shakes. Next, Walk and Turn. Mary missed heel-to-toe steps. Her turn was off. Last, One Leg Stand. She didn't lift her foot right. Arms waved for balance. Erratic drive, booze smell, her own words on drinks, bad tests—all added up. Officers arrested Mary for DUI. Teets read the Georgia Implied Consent warning. Mary agreed to a breath test. They took her to Downtown Precinct first. Her breath showed 0.123% BAC—over the 0.08% limit for those over 21. Teets loaded her back in the car. Off to Clarke County Jail. Booked her with charges: DUI over 0.08g (40-6-391(a)(1)), speeding (40-6-181), failure to yield to emergency vehicle (40-6-74). 4:09 she goes from fake crying to talking normally. 10:47 Always remember to tie your hair up when you know you are about to be arrested. 34:04 Girl, nobody in the history of Taco Bell has ever been in a line at Taco Bell for an hour 😂 49:00 cop typing on a laptop while driving the car.
