Did you see the full interview ? I don’t agree with the part where she says that if you find your husband cheating, you should ask yourself what your problem is and what you need to change. I don’t believe a woman should look for a reason to blame herself for being cheated on. Cheating is a choice, and the person who chooses to cheat should take responsibility for that decision.I know that in some Ethiopian communities, people often believe that a woman should try to change herself or do whatever she can to get her husband back and keep the marriage together. But I don’t think that is always the right solution.
Marriage is a very serious commitment. You choose to be with someone for better or for worse, and that means both people should be willing to communicate, take responsibility for their mistakes, and work through difficult times together. But “for better or for worse” should not mean that one person has to accept betrayal or blame themselves for someone else’s choices.
If there are problems in the marriage, both partners can look at themselves and work on those problems. But a woman should not be made to feel that she caused her husband to cheat or that she needs to change herself to prevent him from doing it again.
